KKK- the "Washington States's 1920's chapter of the most infamous white supremacist organization in American history." Washinton State Klan in 1920s was part of the second three waves of KKK activity in America.  The Ku Klux Klan (KKK) was named domestic terrorist group for attacking their own nation. They used Black Americans as their slaves and the Black Americans wanted their rights, so KKK fought and ended up losing against the Black Americans. After losing, KKK started their group in 1866. KKK was angered by this outcome because they felt that their life has change and also felt threatened. "KKK was emerged following the Civil War as America’s first true terrorist group." While serving the democratic party, KKK started terrorizing the Southern states by the 1870’s; killing and targeting black Americans. KKK is located all over the United States (US), their headquarters being Arkansas. There was a range of 3 million to as high as 8 million Klansmen estimated for the national membership in a secret organization.

Nathan Bedford Forrest- Head of KKK
KKK's first violent "night riding" - in which hooded vigilants used lynchings, whippings, and torture to intimidate free slaves and white alies. KKK attacked and murdered black Americans. KKK burned black Americans, schools and churches. KKK also attacked their party gatherings. KKK didn't feel enough threatened to black Americans, so KKK went beyond and broadened its message of hate to the Catholics, Jews and foreigners. KKK hurt people who spoke out against them, sometimes they would also disrupt the black organizations. When KKK saw a car pass by with black people inside, they would attack them. However if KKK couldn’t find people, they would attack black family’s houses. "More than 40 different Klan groups exist, many having multiple chapters, or “klaverns,” including a few that boast a presence in a large number of states."

KKK believed that the White race was superior above every other race. KKK terrorized all Black Americans because they had no slaves and wanted them back. "The Klan has fragmented into more than 40 separate factions of varying sizes. There is no “one” Ku Klux Klan." The KKK is a group that is a racist anti-Semitic, which means they discriminate all Muslims and Jews. KKK dresses in all white, that looks like a robe with holes, which they use to see everything. They also have uniform T-shirts with their group name KKK on it. People believed KKK was unreliable because they wouldn’t listen to anyone. Doctors and Lawyers etc. became a loyal supporters of KKK.

Police tried arresting KKK for attacking the black Americans, but only on rare occasions, have they ever got arrested. KKK was difficult to get arrested because they only stayed in one place for a long time because of their fear. Black Americans tried to vote and gain education subjects from bullying or name calling. But KKK constantly got assaulted by white people. Black Americans fought because even though the war was over it still continued for them. Black Americans struggle against discrimination, fighting for their rights.

KKK grew weaker as years passed by, decreasing in members and followers. There were KKK members who tried to bring back the full strength of KKK, but they couldn’t. "Many Ku Klux Klan groups have attempted to take advantage of that fear and uncertainty, using anti-immigration sentiments for recruitment and propaganda purposes, and to attract publicity." They tried to get a new leader which was Dr. Samuel Green, but after he died in 1949 their group became more smaller than it ever was. Today KKK continues to be located around the US, mostly in the South. Police are still searching for KKK members, trying to put an end to them.
